What types of instructors is LessonSync for?

Solo instructors, teaching teams, and multi-instructor programs — sports instructors, music teachers, tutors, personal trainers, and more.

Is LessonSync only for 1-on-1 teaching?

No. LessonSync supports both private 1-on-1 lessons and group sessions. Students can belong to multiple groups, and you can also set up and manage a multi-instructor teaching team.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use it?

Not at all. LessonSync is designed to be simple. Most instructors are up and running in under 10 minutes.

Pricing & billing

Is there really a free plan?

Yes. Up to 10 students and 20 emails per day with no time limit and no credit card required.

Can I try Pro or Business before committing?

Yes, there’s a 14-day free trial for paid plans. No credit card required.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Is there a contract or commitment?

No contracts. Paid plans are available monthly or annually, and you can cancel anytime.

Can I manage both private and group sessions?

Yes. The calendar supports both. Group attendance is tracked alongside private lessons.

Can I manage a teaching team, not just a solo account?

Yes. LessonSync supports teaching teams with multiple instructor accounts, invitations, and shared team management tools.

What is the student portal?

A read-only login for your students where they can view upcoming lessons, package balances, payment history, and messages.

Can multiple family members or linked students share an email address?

Yes. LessonSync supports shared-contact situations, such as siblings or students connected to the same parent email, while keeping each student record separate.

How does billing work?

Create lesson packages with a set number of sessions and price. LessonSync tracks usage, calculates balances, and lets you send payment reminders. Students pay you directly using your preferred payment method.

Does LessonSync support monthly billing as well as lesson packages?

Yes. LessonSync supports lesson packages, monthly billing, and single-lesson billing, so you can choose the setup that matches how you teach.

Can students make payments through LessonSync?

LessonSync does not directly process student payments. Instead, students pay you through your preferred payment method using the payment link or instructions you send from LessonSync. LessonSync then helps you track payments and send reminders.

Can I send invoices?

Yes. You can generate invoice PDFs and send invoices directly from student records.

Does LessonSync send automated reminders?

Yes. You can configure payment reminders, low-lesson alerts, and lesson reminders with customizable thresholds and cooldown periods.

Do you have a LessonSync mobile app?

Not yet. LessonSync is fully usable on mobile through a polished, responsive web experience in your phone's browser.

Is my data secure?

Yes. LessonSync is built with secure authentication, encrypted connections, and row-level security to keep each account’s data protected and isolated.

Can I export my data?

Yes. LessonSync supports CSV exports for students, payments, and charges, along with invoice downloads.

Can I import my student list from somewhere else?

Yes. LessonSync supports CSV import for students, so you can bring over your roster without entering every record by hand.
