Fair Use Policy
How LessonSync handles email volume and abuse prevention for paid plans.
Effective date: April 10, 2026
Why this policy exists
LessonSync includes email tools for legitimate instructor-to-student communication, including lesson updates, payment follow-up, reminders, and administrative notices.
This Fair Use Policy exists to prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and behavior that could reduce deliverability or reliability for other LessonSync users.
What is covered
Paid LessonSync plans include unlimited emails in normal use. Automated reminders and transactional emails are also supported as part of the product.
Unlimited does not mean unrestricted bulk marketing, purchased lists, cold outreach, or high-volume behavior unrelated to managing your own students or teaching business operations.
Expected use
You should send emails only to students, families, or contacts you are authorized to contact in connection with your teaching business.
Messages should be relevant to lessons, scheduling, billing, team communication, or other legitimate instructor-student operations.
Examples of prohibited use
Using LessonSync to send spam, promotional blasts to third-party lists, phishing, deceptive messages, or content that violates applicable law is not allowed.
Repeatedly sending unusually high-volume email with low engagement, high bounce rates, or spam complaints may also be treated as abusive use.
How we may respond
If we detect behavior that appears abusive or harmful to email deliverability, we may temporarily rate-limit sending, ask for more information, suspend email functionality, or suspend the account in serious cases.
We aim to apply these protections narrowly and reasonably, especially for legitimate teaching businesses using the platform in good faith.
